First-time Application

Application Proceduce:
Transactional Categories:First-time Application
Target Groups and Application Eligibility:Those who intend to place the bone ashes of their deceased family members/relatives in the ash boxes of the public cemeteries.
Required Document:1. Supporting document(s) or declaration(s) (020/SAL) to identify the relationship between the applicant and the deceased person;
2. Supporting document(s) on cremation;
3. A legible photocopy of identity document of the applicant.
Additional documents to be submitted (those that must be submitted when applicable):
1.For bone ashes obtained from private cemeteries, the applicants are required to apply for License for Relocation of Human Remains into Public Cemeteries and submit a legible photocopy of identity document of the deceased person.

Charges (or Taxes):1. Granting first-time right of use for 50 years – Class A:Mop 2500.00
Granting first-time right of use for 50 years – Class B:Mop 1500.00

2. For bone ashes obtained from private cemeteries - Permit for Relocation of Human Remains into Public Cemeteries: Mop 100.00

Remark:To become eligible for the application of ash boxes in the cemeteries affiliated to the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM), applicants or the deceased persons must meet any one of the following requirements:
1.The deceased person was a holder of Macao Identity Card (permanent or non-permanent);
2.The applicant is a holder of Macao Identity Card (permanent or non-permanent), and the deceased person was the applicant’s spouse or an immediate lineal relative to the applicant by blood;
3.The deceased person passed away in Macao.
